AE4I 09 - FAQ’s

Is there any benefit in having my restaurant participate?

By participating in America Eats for Israel, not only will you be supporting a worthy cause and showing your involvement in the community, but you will also see a major increase in revenue for that day (even after the 10%). Restaurants who actively participate will receive extra business from schools, parents, and all members of the community. Some restaurants choose to publicize their participation on their own in addition to what we provide.

Can I give less than 10%?

In order to keep a standard for all restaurants across the country, 10% of the gross revenue must be donated from each participating restaurant.

Who will be helping me?

In addition to the coordinating staff in Yeshivat Rambam of Baltimore, a network of High Schools from across the country has been established to help run this project. Student committees have already been set up, and shortly after we receive your contract we will put you in touch with a local representative who will discuss the game plan for everything leading up to and including America Eats for Israel Day.

Is it the entire day of April 22nd, or only certain meals?

Your restaurant will be participating for the entire day of April 22, 2009 for all take out, delivery, and sit down orders.

Am I donating 10% of the profit made?

The donation expected is 10% of the gross revenue. That means for every dollar spent by a customer, ten cents will go to tzedakah (charity).
